Karika 8: Prakriti is unseen because it is subtle

Prakriti (Unmanifest or root cause) is not perceivable due to its subtlety, not because it is non-existent.Its existence is inferred from its effects. The Intellect (mahat), etc. (the other twenty-two elements) are effects of prakriti, both resembling and differing from their cause (prakriti).
