Karika 27: The Mind: a sense, and more
The words
Translation
Among these (knowledge and action senses), the Mind is common to both. It deliberates and is called a sense, as it possesses properties similar to those of the senses. The diversity [among the Mind and the other senses] and the external distinctions are due to the unique modifications of the [three] gunas (the attributes).
